This is & will be my "go to" place to feel welcome & pampered. I have only had hair cut/color & brows waxed, but they offer other services. Looking forward to next visit in their new facility!!
The worst experience ever! I went the first time for a consultation to make sure they were able to color my hair the color I wanted and they said yes. I made my first appointment and spent 3 hours in the salon. The hairdresser and owner (Lisa) realized that my hair was not the way it was supposed to be and asked me to come back Saturday. So I proceeded to give them an opportunity to correct it and returned on Saturday. Spent another 6 hours of my day allowing the salon to correct my hair. I went home and a few days later my color was gone. It's like they put a temporary hair color on my hair just to make it look good for a few days. At this point they have bleached my hair numerous times (like 4) and my hair was severely damaged. I called the salon and explained to them what was going on and they asked me to come back in. So I returned to the salon for the 3rd time in hopes that they would correct my hair color from a green/blue hair color rather than silver as I originally wanted and showed them a picture of at my consultation. Another 4 hours in the salon I thought my hair was corrected but couldn't tell since she didn't blow dry my hair and the owner was there and I figured she agreed that it was good. I returned home to fix my hair and it was terrible and breaking off. My hair was so damaged at this point. I decided to go to another professional hair dresser to get my hair back to looking somewhat normal and she advised me that she couldn't do much with my hair since it was so damaged and suggested that we do some treatments and it would be a slow process to get my hair back to somewhat healthy and a good color that I wanted. She started doing my hair and told me that I had spots all in my hair like a leopard and that I had a huge dark circle as well. She took pics and showed me that La Porte's Family Hair Salon had colored my hair and left it all spotted and damaged. I have been walking around with multi colored strands that are all spotted and had no clue since I couldn't see the back. How embarrassing! I called the salon to speak with the owner (Tina) and she was very rude and not helpful. After spending $420 at this salon and having multi-colored and spotted hair, she told me there is no way I spent that much after I told her I have my bank statement to show it. And I told her I have the pictures to show the hair color and damage her stylist did to my hair. She basically was very unprofessional and over spoke me the whole time. I tried to explain to her and was unsuccessful. She yelled at me and said "I will see you in court" and hung up. This is no way to run a business and when one of your stylist is at fault. I have posted a picture so you can see what my new hairdresser was talking about when she said spots like a leopard and multi colored strands.
